Our distressed Stoneware is fabricated by craftsmen, using a traditional method. The mixture of crushed marble is carefully hand packed into steel moulds. This is known as a dry cast process and ensures strong definition and outline. After being left to dry and cure naturally, the stone is then slowly drizzled with an alcohol based liquid. The final stage of manufacture entails evenly burning the entire piece with a blowtorch. This produces a pitted and weathered finish, which perfectly replicates the Antique Planters of yesteryear.
