Once used for storage of wine, olives or water these incredible giant Antique Spanish Pots are wonderful relics of craftsmanship and beauty.

These vessels were made by hand, expertly using coils of clay and painstakingly created level by level, until the desired height and diameter was reached. They were then left to dry in shaded groves warmed by the sun and cooled by the breezes from the Mediterranean.

Steeped in history these fantastic pieces are rustic terracotta, many with iron "grapas" or heavy iron staples. Many have the name of the Master Craftsman or "Alfareria" signed on them. Many are hand dated, some as far back as 1880. Some reach up to four metres in height. All date back to before 1900.
